Peddi, the sports drama starring Ram Charan, has made a blockbuster start at the box office, collecting ₹59 crore on its opening day. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film has broken multiple records, including the third-best start for an Indian film in 2026.

The film collected ₹40.66 crore net in India, with ₹36.99 crore coming from the Telugu version alone. The Telugu version had an occupancy of over 68% throughout the day, while the Hindi dub disappointed with a mere 15% occupancy.

Peddi has already beaten the domestic opening collections of megahits like Dhurandhar, Gadar 2, and Pathaan. It is also the biggest opening for a solo Ram Charan film, surpassing the record of his last film, Game Changer.

The positive reviews Peddi has received have ensured that it won't meet the same fate as Game Changer, which fell flat due to negative word of mouth.
