Peddi, the sports action drama starring Ram Charan, has been facing a slowdown at the box office despite a grand opening. The film, which opened to mixed-to-positive reviews, has continued to draw audiences but has not seen significant growth in its collections. According to the latest report, Peddi has collected ₹7.41 crore on its second Sunday, which is an underwhelming number given the day of the week. The film has collected ₹51 crore in India on its first day and ₹32.15 crore on its first Sunday, but has seen a sharp dip in collections in the following days. The total India gross collections stand at ₹254.28 crore and the total India net at ₹214.21 crore so far. The film has been criticized for the portrayal of Janhvi Kapoor's character, Achiyamma, and the director, Buchi Babu Sana, has issued an apology. The film's lyricist, Anantha Sriram, has also spoken out in support of the director's creative freedom.
