Actor Vijay Deverakonda's upcoming film Ranabaali has created buzz with The Mummy antagonist Arnold Vosloo on board as the antagonist. Director Rahul Sankrityan confesses being star-struck upon meeting Arnold.

Rahul reveals that they contacted several agencies for the part, and Arnold was their top choice due to his well-known work in The Mummy and the nostalgia factor it adds for Indian audiences.

Arnold, who played Imhotep in The Mummy, had a few notes about Indian cinema when Rahul met him for the first time. He praised Indian filmmaking, citing RRR as an example of a well-made film despite limited resources.

Arnold spent almost six months in India, exploring Hyderabad in his downtime and visiting local temples. The climax scene of the film, a fight sequence between Vijay Deverakonda and Arnold, took 16 days to shoot and is the highlight of the film, according to Rahul.
