Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda has spoken out against the perception of him being "rude" or "difficult" in the film industry. In an interview with Zoom, he explained that his blunt personality was often misunderstood due to cultural differences and direct communication style.
Hailing from Haryana, Randeep said that his straightforward way of speaking was often mistaken for aggression. He also acknowledged that his limited social interactions within the industry contributed to the growth of rumors about his behavior.
However, the actor clarified that he has never had disrespectful exchanges with filmmakers, except for his well-documented fallout with Ram Gopal Varma. Randeep also pointed out that the film industry is full of "fragile glass egos and insecurities," which can lead to misunderstandings and misinterpretations.
Currently, Randeep is seen in Inspector Avinash Season 2, which received mixed reviews upon release. He will next be seen in Matchbox: The Movie, an American action-adventure comedy directed by Sam Hargrave, scheduled for release on October 9, 2026.
