Ranveer Singh Exits Don 3, Prioritizes Pralay Amidst Dhurandhar Success and New Opportunities

Actor Ranveer Singh's return to Farhan Akhtar's directorial project Don 3 has hit a roadblock. Despite earlier reports of the film resuming production with Ranveer's preparation, a new report suggests that the actor has decided to step away from the project. This decision is reportedly linked to his recent success in Dhurandhar, which has solidified his presence in the gangster film genre. A source revealed that Ranveer aims to collaborate with renowned filmmakers and avoid a back-to-back gangster film sequence. As a result, the actor has asked producer Jai Mehta to expedite the shoot of Pralay, a zombie-based film that explores the human condition amidst challenging circumstances. Ranveer is now personally involved in coordinating the film's dates and schedules to ensure a swift production process. The makers of Don 3 are still committed to starting production by the end of January 2026 and are currently scouting for a new lead actor, following Kiara Advani's earlier exit due to pregnancy. Separately, Ranveer and his wife, Deepika Padukone, were spotted at the airport on Monday evening, heading out of Mumbai for a vacation. The couple wore matching black outfits and appeared delighted as they bid farewell to fans before departing.
