Dhurandhar 2 has continued its phenomenal box office run, smashing records since its release. The film has now climbed the charts to become the second-highest-grossing Bollywood film in India, further cementing its blockbuster status.
The spy thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar, has raked in around ₹40 crore daily, despite the usual weekday dip. It has collected ₹43 crore in paid previews, followed by a mega opening of ₹102 crore, and two more ₹100+ crore days.
The film's pace was finally slowed down after Tuesday, but it started strongly again on Thursday, aided by the Ram Navami holiday in various parts of the country. It earned ₹49.70 crore net on the day, taking its domestic haul to an impressive ₹674.17 crore net in its first week.
Dhurandhar 2 has breached the ₹600-crore mark, becoming only the fifth Bollywood film to do so, and has outgrossed Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava and Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. It is now poised to break Dangal's all-time record of ₹2070 crore.
