Dhurandhar, the Bollywood blockbuster starring Ranveer Singh, has achieved a new milestone. The film, which has collected over ₹1100 crore worldwide at the box office, has become the top-selling Bollywood movie on the ticket platform BookMyShow. According to recent data, Dhurandhar has sold a staggering 1.3 crore tickets on the platform, surpassing the previous record held by Chhaava, directed by Vicky Kaushal. This feat also puts Dhurandhar ahead of Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, and Stree 2 in terms of ticket sales on BookMyShow. Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, has been a massive success, with over 3.5 crore tickets sold across India, generating a box office gross of over ₹886 crore. Of these, 1.3 crore tickets were booked through BookMyShow, while over 2 crore were sold through spot bookings. The film, which draws inspiration from real events, follows the story of an Indian spy played by Ranveer Singh, who infiltrates a Baloch gang in Pakistan. Dhurandhar still lags behind the overall record for an Indian film, held by Pushpa 2: The Rule, which sold 2 crore tickets on BookMyShow. However, this achievement solidifies Dhurandhar's position as one of the most successful Bollywood films in recent years. The film's success is a testament to its widespread appeal, particularly in tier-1 and tier-2 cities, where BookMyShow has become a prominent platform for ticket sales. With the release of Part 2 in March this year, fans can expect more thrilling adventures from the Dhurandhar universe.
