Ranveer Singh's high-octane spy thriller Dhurandhar has taken the box office by storm, crossing the ₹1000 crore mark in just 21 days. Released on December 5, the film has become the highest-grossing film of 2025, leaving behind strong competition from Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday's Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri (TMMTMTTM). Despite entering its third week, Dhurandhar showed no signs of slowing down, raking in ₹160.70 crore from day 15-20 and a massive ₹28.60 crore on Christmas. In comparison, TMMTMTTM managed a modest ₹7.25 crore net on its opening day. According to Jio Studios, the film's producers, Dhurandhar has collected a net of ₹668.80 crore in India and a worldwide gross of ₹1006.7 crore in 21 days. This impressive feat puts the film in league with other blockbuster hits like Baahubali 2, KGF 2, RRR, and Pathaan. Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, and Sanjay Dutt, Dhurandhar tells the story of a spy who infiltrates a Baloch gang in Pakistan. The film's success has paved the way for a sequel, Dhurandhar 2, which is set to release on March 19, 2026, in all South Indian languages and Hindi. With its ₹1000 crore milestone, Dhurandhar has cemented its place in the history books, but the film's journey is far from over. It now aims to surpass the ₹1042.25 crore haul of Kalki 2898 AD to solidify its position as one of the highest-grossing films of all time.
