Bollywood's biggest hit of the season, Dhurandhar, continues to defy expectations at the box office. Director Aditya Dhar's spy thriller, starring Ranveer Singh, has been a surprise hit, collecting ₹483 crore in just two weeks. On its 15th day, Dhurandhar raked in ₹22.50 crore, outpacing the new release, James Cameron's Avatar: Fire and Ash, which earned a meagre ₹20 crore net in India on its opening day. Dhurandhar's incredible run has also seen it surpass Pushpa 2's record of collecting ₹196.50 crore in Hindi in seven days, during its first week in theatres. The film's success has been fuelled by Ranveer's gripping performance as an Indian spy infiltrating terror networks in Pakistan, alongside a talented ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R Madhavan. Produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, Dhurandhar is the first instalment of a two-part series, with the sequel scheduled for release on March 19, 2026. The film's momentum shows no signs of slowing down, leaving fans eagerly anticipating its next move at the box office.
