In a remarkable run at the box office, Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar has continued its upward trend, thanks to the Christmas holiday season worldwide. The Aditya Dhar-directed film has now earned over $1 million per day overseas and ₹20-25 crore gross domestically in its fourth week, propelling it past the lifetime overseas collections of iconic films like Awara and 3 Idiots. As of its 23rd day in theaters, Dhurandhar has raked in ₹668 crore net (₹801.50 crore gross) in the domestic market, making it the 5th highest-grossing Indian film in India, behind pan-India blockbusters like Pushpa 2, Baahubali 2, KGF Chapter 2, and RRR. The film's makers claim it has surpassed ₹1050 crore worldwide, with a current gross of ₹1035 crore, according to trade sources. Dhurandhar's impressive overseas performance has seen it cross the $26 million mark, surpassing the lifetime overseas hauls of notable films like Awara, Dunki, and 3 Idiots. Although it still lags behind the all-time record held by Dangal, the film is steadily climbing the ranks and is expected to surpass other milestones like Sholay and Bobby before its run ends. Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian operative infiltrating the gang and terror networks of Karachi. The film also features Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan in key roles. A sequel, scheduled for release in March 2026, is already in the works.
