Ranveer Singh made headlines after the FWICE issued a non-cooperation directive against him, sparking a shadow ban in Bollywood. In a bid to apologize for the Kantara mimicry row, the actor visited the Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysuru.

The visit comes after Ranveer issued a public apology and clarified his intent, stating that his intention was to highlight Rishabh's incredible performance in the film.

Ranveer had earlier said that he has always deeply respected every culture, tradition, and belief in the country and apologized if he had hurt anyone's sentiments.

The mimicry took place at the closing ceremony of IFFI 2025, where Ranveer did an exaggerated take on Rishab's Daiva act from the Kantara films, referring to the daivas as 'ghosts.'

An FIR was registered against the actor, prompting him to move the court seeking quashing of the case. Ranveer's counsel reiterated that the actor is apologetic for his remarks and will visit the Chamundi Hill temple to pay respects as part of his apology.
