The ongoing Don 3 row has sparked a heated debate about the film industry's working culture. Actor Ranvir Shorey has weighed in on the issue, questioning producers for canceling films without any compensation for actors and crew members.

Shorey took to X to react to the Producers Guild of India's statement, which raised concerns over actors walking out of projects at the last minute. He pointed out that producers often cancel or delay projects unilaterally without discussing compensation for the losses to actors.

The actor clarified that his statement was not a comment on any particular case or dispute, but rather a general observation. His post triggered a debate on social media, with some users arguing that producers bear heavier losses when actors walk out.

Ranvir made a distinction between actors and stars, suggesting that the issue is not about exploitation, but rather about treating workers with respect and sensitivity. He acknowledged that producers have more at stake, but emphasized that workers deserve to be treated fairly.

The Producers Guild of India had issued a statement earlier, expressing concerns over talent and technicians reneging on their commitments to producers. The statement mentioned that the guild had received formal complaints from members Excel Entertainment and Panorama Studios regarding instances of walkouts just days before principal photography began.

The Don 3 row gained momentum after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh amid reports of his exit from the film. The directive has since been withdrawn.
