Controversy surrounds actor Sivaji after he made derogatory remarks about women's clothing at a pre-release event for his film Dhandoraa. Since then, he has faced intense backlash online. Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has weighed in on the issue, stating that the female actors from his upcoming film The Raja Saab – Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar – did not let Sivaji's comments deter them from wearing what they wanted to wear. RGV shared a photo of the three actresses, who were seen in a shimmery black lehenga, a beautiful white saree, and a grey sari, respectively. In the caption, he praised them for 'giving a tight slap' to Sivaji's 'vitriolic' comments. Sivaji's remarks sparked outrage when he referred to women who don't dress modestly as 'wretched women' and used derogatory terms to describe their body parts. He later apologized for using 'unparliamentary' language. RGV had previously called out Sivaji, stating that if his family members were willing to tolerate his behavior, that was their business, but he should refrain from moral policing others.
