The trailer for Marvel's Avengers: Doomsday was unveiled at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, featuring Robert Downey Jr as the villainous Doctor Doom and Chris Evans returning as Steve Rogers.
The trailer sets up the arrival of Doctor Doom and the return of the original Avengers, with a voiceover announcing 'Something's coming!' and a flash of light leading to the first look at Robert Downey Jr in his silver mask.
A montage of characters, including Thor, Mister Fantastic, and Professor X, follows before Chris Hemsworth's Thor takes center stage in the battle against Doom.
However, when Thor tries to use his Stormbreaker, Doctor Doom stops him easily, prompting Thor to pray for a miracle.
The trailer then cuts to a voice saying 'Hey, pal!' as Chris Evans' Steve Rogers takes Thor's Mjölnir, prompting a stunned reaction from Thor.
RDJ and Chris Evans spoke about their return to the MCU, with RDJ saying he couldn't have imagined reuniting with the team as a new character, and Chris Evans stating he only came back for a 'real reason' in Doomsday.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released on December 18, setting up a box office battle dubbed Dunesday.
