Bollywood actor Sadia Khateeb, known for her emotionally layered characters, has found a refreshing change in her upcoming family drama Daadi Ki Shaadi. The film, produced by Rtake Studios, BeingU Studios, and Shimla Talkies, marks a departure from her intense roles in Shikara, Raksha Bandhan, and The Diplomat.
Daadi Ki Shaadi, directed by Ashish R Mohan, stars Neetu Kapoor, Kapil Sharma, Sarath Kumar, Sadia Khateeb, and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Sadia spoke about her experience working on the film, which she described as one of the happiest experiences on a set.
The atmosphere on set was so comforting and memorable that Sadia felt like she was on a holiday. The cast spent a lot of time together off-camera, sharing meals and enjoying each other's company. Despite long schedules and night shoots, the cast never felt exhausted.
Sadia revealed that she had been craving something light-hearted after completing The Diplomat. She wanted to explore a character that wasn't intense and emotionally draining. The actor admitted that emotionally heavy films affect her more deeply than she initially understood.
Daadi Ki Shaadi became therapeutic for Sadia, who found herself constantly smiling, laughing, and having fun on set. She learned valuable lessons from actors like Akshay Kumar and John Abraham, including the importance of humility and discipline.
Sadia has been selective about her projects, always being clear about her personal boundaries and the kind of stories she wants to be associated with. She has said no to more projects than she's said yes to, but it doesn't affect her because she genuinely wants to work with good directors and good stories with integrity.
Daadi Ki Shaadi is now available to watch, and Sadia will next star in Omung Kumar's Silaa alongside Harsvardhan Rane.
