Contrary to reports, actor Salman Khan has not stepped in to mediate the ongoing Don 3 dispute between actor Ranveer Singh and actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar.
A source close to the development reveals that no such intervention took place, and the speculations of Salman Khan calling and acting as a mediator are not true.
Ranveer Singh was announced as the lead of Don 3 in 2023, but the film saw multiple delays due to his prior commitments to other projects, including Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Baiju Bawra and Prasanth Varma's project.
According to the source, Ranveer Singh later informed the production house about his plans to prioritize Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar, citing the potential to elevate his standing with audiences.
As per the source, Ranveer backed out of Don 3 on December 20, 2025, just three weeks before the film was scheduled to go on floors, leading to a wider industry issue and a reported financial dispute between the actor and Excel Entertainment.
FWICE chief advisor Ashoke Pandit stated that Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani had approached the body, claiming substantial investments had already been made, including overseas recce trips, hotel bookings, and arrangements for over 200 crew members.
