Nandini Reddy's action film Maa Inti Bangaaram, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, has made a stunning box office debut, surpassing the opening day collections of films like Ghaati, The Girlfriend, and Yashoda.
According to Sacnilk, Maa Inti Bangaaram collected ₹5.35 crore net in India on its opening day, with a 36% occupancy from 2038 shows.
This marks a new high for Samantha's solo film opener, beating the previous record held by Yashoda's day 1 collections of ₹3.06 crore net.
The film has also outperformed the opening of Anushka Shetty's 2025 film Ghaati, which registered a ₹2 crore opening, as well as Rashmika Mandanna-led 2025 film The Girlfriend, which brought in ₹1.30 crore.
Maa Inti Bangaaram tells the story of a woman who tries to safeguard her family from her violent past and has received positive reviews from critics, with Hindustan Times praising Samantha's performance in the film.
