Sangrain Dance Academy Performs on 76th Republic Day, Sets Guinness World Record

On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, organized a grand event at the India Gate Kartavya Pathe in New Delhi. The theme of the event was "Jai Maa Bharati Nritya" and it witnessed a huge participation of 5194 folk dancers from all over the country.
Among them, a group of 100 talented folk dancers (50 boys and 50 girls) from the Sangrain Dance Academy (Sangrain Welfare Society) of Tripura State caught everyone's attention. The academy was invited by the Ministry of Culture Government of India to participate in the Republic Day Parade 2025.
The presentation of this huge group of folk dancers on the theme "Jai Maa Bharati Nritya" has been entered into the Guinness World Record. The certificates sent from Delhi were distributed yesterday at a function at Mukut Auditorium in South Tripura Shantir bazar.
At the function, MLA Pramod Reang, members of Sangrain Dance Academy, officials from Belonia ICA Department, and others were present. The one-day workshop, Mog Cultural Meet & Workshop, was a significant event that brought together artists and folk dancers from all over the country.
The Republic Day Certificate and the World Guinness Record Certificate were distributed to all the artists who participated in the one-day workshop and the Sangrain Dance Academy. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the folk dancers from Tripura State.
The Sangrain Dance Academy's performance on the 76th Republic Day has not only brought glory to the state but also set a new Guinness World Record. The academy's participation in the Republic Day Parade 2025 has showcased the rich cultural heritage of Tripura State to the world.
