Celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor has revealed he was approached to judge MasterChef India but refused due to a pay dispute.
He demanded to be paid more than Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, even if it was by just ₹1, but his demand was not met.
Sanjeev shared that he was approached multiple times to appear on the show, but he stuck to his decision until the producers admitted that the format was not working and asked him to judge the show in the third season.
Akshay judged the first two seasons of the reality show alongside chefs Kunal Kapur and Ajay Chopra, while Sanjeev joined the franchise in the third season after Akshay's exit.
