Mackenzie Shirilla's ex-girlfriend, Shyann Topping, has spoken out about their time together in prison, revealing a tumultuous relationship that began on the prison's outdoor track just two weeks before her release.
Topping described how Shirilla's demands for public affection intensified quickly, with Shirilla telling her to be 'all over her' for everyone to see. Other inmates had nicknamed Shirilla 'Shirilla the Killa,' and Shirilla laughed when Topping told her about it.
However, the relationship 'fizzled' after Topping researched the crash and realized Shirilla had misrepresented key details. Topping began receiving anonymous threats after she posted about Shirilla on TikTok, with some messages including her mother's name or home address.
Shirilla is currently serving 15 years to life after being convicted of murder and aggravated vehicular homicide in the 2022 crash. The true-crime documentary 'The Crash' has been a hit on Netflix, generating 39.3 million views in nine days since its release.
