After reports emerged of a new film adaptation of Amish Tripathi's bestselling novel The Immortals of Meluha, the author has denied any movie deal, stating that the film rights are still with him.

Suparn S Varma, who directed Yaami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi's Haq (2025), was rumored to be working on the project, but the director clarified that he is not involved in any new film adaptation.

Amish Tripathi stated that the news of any movie deal being signed for the Shiva Trilogy is not true, and that the film and series rights for the Shiva Trilogy are with him.

The author explained that lots of deals have happened earlier, but nothing has been made yet, and that he is in no hurry for a film adaptation to go on floors.

He emphasized that quality is more important than speed and that he is sure that whenever a film series does emerge, it will be a good one that is worthy of Lord Shiva.
