The film marks the big-screen debut of Agastya Nanda, Amitabh Bachchan's grandson, and Simar Bhatia, Akshay Kumar's niece. The makers recently dropped the final trailer, which has garnered widespread love and admiration on social media. Filmmaker Karan Johar re-shared the trailer, giving the newcomers a warm welcome. In his post, KJo expressed his support for Agastya, calling him 'SOLID' and 'Rooting for you Aggy.' He also extended a warm welcome to Simar, calling her 'gorgeous.' Simar, known for her wit, did not disappoint in her response to KJo's compliment. She thanked him and added a witty remark: 'Thank you sir. Phir mujhe Dharma ka picture kyun nahin diya?' The remark has won the hearts of netizens, who are loving her sassy response. Ikkis is a biographical war drama that tells the story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who attained martyrdom during the 1971 India-Pakistan War. The film marks the posthumous release of Bollywood's He-Man Dharmendra, who played the role of Brigadier ML Khetarpal (Retd.). Agastya will be seen as Arun, while Simar will play the role of Kiran, who held Arun's heart. Initially scheduled to clash with Karan Johar's Tu Meri Main Tera on Christmas, Ikkis is now set to release on January 1, 2026. We wish Simar and Agastya all the best for their debut venture.
