Sonakshi Sinha, the daughter of veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, has spoken about nepotism and why she feels the topic is often over-discussed. She admitted that her father never lobbied for her entry into films, and she had to prove herself on her own.
'Tough fathers make really resilient and strong daughters,' she said, adding that her father was always soft and honest with her, but also made her work hard to prove herself.
Sonakshi's views on nepotism were straightforward, saying that it's simply how the world works. 'I may want an opportunity to join a business, but the businessman's son will have a greater chance to be a part of it than me,' she said.
Sonakshi is currently seen in Prime Video's film System, and has also announced Dahaad season 2. Apart from her acting career, she has a strong presence on YouTube, with over 1.1 million subscribers and millions of views on her makeup and skincare tutorials.
