The Supreme Court has issued a notice to Priya Kapur, the widow of Sunjay Kapur, and others in a lawsuit filed by his mother, Rani Kapur, seeking directions to declare the RK Family Trust 'null and void.'
The top court suggested parties to explore mediation, with Justice J B Pardiwala stating, 'Why are you all fighting? This is not the age for your client to fight. Go for mediation once and for all.'
Rani Kapur, 80, has alleged that the Trust, constituted in her name in October 2017, was a product of 'forged, fabricated and fraudulent' documents.
The lawsuit seeks a direction to permanently restrain Priya Kapur and others from utilising or acting in furtherance of the RK Family Trust in any manner whatsoever.
The matter has been posted for hearing on May 7.
