Actor Swastika Mukherjee has questioned former cricketer Sourav Ganguly's comments on Rahul Arunoday Banerjee's death. Rahul died in a drowning incident while shooting for a Bengali soap. Sourav wondered why Rahul had to go towards the water body in the first place. Swastika has now reacted to Sourav's comment, saying that as a public figure, he should be aware of what words are coming out of his mouth.
She added that not everyone can be knowledgeable of every single thing and that Sourav, being a public figure, should understand what he is speaking. The Bengali entertainment industry has called for an indefinite strike to demand safety and security measures on the set of films, television shows, and web series.
