The chart-topping soundtrack of Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar has been a major highlight of the film. Among its hits is the energetic dance number 'Shararat,' featuring Ayesha Khan and Krystle D'Souza. However, the song's choreographer, Vijay Ganguly, has revealed that Tamannaah Bhatia was initially chosen for the role. According to Ganguly, director Aditya Dhar rejected Bhatia for the part, opting instead for a two-dancer format. Dhar wanted to avoid what he called an 'item song' that would draw attention away from the film's storyline. Ganguly explained that having two dancers allowed the focus to remain on the narrative, rather than a solo performer. Dhurandhar, a spy thriller starring Ranveer Singh, has been a massive success, grossing over ₹800 crore worldwide. The film, based on true events, also features Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. The movie's soundtrack has been a major contributor to its success, with several tracks topping the charts.
