The Madras High Court has dismissed an appeal filed by actor Tamannaah Bhatia, rejecting her claim of ₹1 crore in damages from Power soaps. The court upheld a 2017 order passed by a single judge, which found that Tamannaah's plea lacked genuine documents to prove the company's responsibility for the misuse of her images.

Tamannaah had filed a plea seeking damages for the unauthorized use of her images on Power Soaps' products despite the expiry of their contract in 2009. The company argued that she was not entitled to claim any amount for imaginary damages.

The division bench of Justice P Velmurugan and Justice K Govindarajan Thilakavadi dismissed her appeal, refusing to grant any damages as claimed by her.

Tamannaah recently completed 20 years in the film industry and will be seen next in the folk thriller film Vvan – Force of the Forrest, alongside Sidharth Malhotra.
