A post on X has sparked outrage among Tamil actors in Hollywood, with Supriya Ganesh and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan leading the charge against the 'colourist, classist' take.

The post targeted Tamil actors Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (Never Have I Ever), Charithra Chandran (Bridgerton and One Piece), Geraldine Viswanathan (Blockers and Thunderbolts), and Supriya Ganesh (The Pitt), calling them 'kamwali bai' (househelp) phenotype.

Supriya Ganesh reposted the tweet, calling it 'supremely f***ed up' and 'classist, colorist, garbage take.'

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan also joined in, responding with 'womp womp cry harder. must be hard to look at four baddies constantly.'

Fans rallied around the actors, slamming the post and praising Supriya Ganesh's response.

The incident comes as Supriya Ganesh prepares to leave The Pitt, a show she has been a part of since its inception.
