Sanam Shetty has called out the makers of Suriya's upcoming Tamil film Vishwanath and Sons for leaving lead heroine Mamitha Baiju's name off the poster. The song poster, which features Suriya and Mamitha, only mentions the names of the male lead, music director GV Prakash Kumar, director Venky Atluri, and producers Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya.
Sanam took to her X account to flag the issue, saying that it's unfair and high time the trend changes. She argued that the heroine deserves equal credits everywhere, regardless of her market value.
The film, which is set to release on August 14, revolves around Suriya's character Sanjay Vishwanath, a pistol-shooting champion in his 40s who becomes a mentor figure to a young woman named Maddy (Mamitha). However, things change when Maddy falls in love with Sanjay, to his dismay.
The makers of the film have not responded to the matter so far.
