Tamil star Ajith Kumar returned to Chennai following the death of his mother, Mohini Mani. Several members of the film fraternity and political circles visited his residence to offer condolences, including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay and actor Trisha Krishnan.
Trisha accompanied CM Vijay to Ajith's home, where they paid their respects and offered condolences to the grieving family.
Ajith Kumar's mother passed away at the age of 89 in Chennai on Saturday morning after a period of declining health.
The family issued an emotional statement, stating that they want to grieve quietly and will hold a private family affair for her last rites.
