Days after the arrest of two stand-up comedians in Andhra Pradesh for their jokes on actor and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, supporters of the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) disrupted a stand-up comedy show in Bengaluru on Saturday.

The TDP supporters, who were in the audience, walked onto the stage and interrupted the show, demanding an apology from comedian Sarat Uday Boddeda over a 2-year-old joke on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his son, Minister Nara Lokesh.

CCTV footage of the incident, which is now being widely circulated online, shows the TDP supporters forcefully asking Sarat to apologize for his jokes, even though he claims he has already apologized for them two years ago.

Sarat agreed to issue another apology, but the TDP supporters issued him a 'final warning' and asked him to be 'careful' about making such jokes again.

The incident comes after the recent arrests of two stand-up comedians in Andhra Pradesh for their jokes on Pawan Kalyan, and TDP supporters have been threatening to take action against other comedians who have made jokes about Andhra politicians.
