The Boys concluded its five-season run on Amazon Prime Video, bringing an end to the intense and thrilling action-packed series. The finale saw Billy Butcher's crusade against Homelander reach its climax, with the two engaging in a fierce battle at the White House.

Homelander, who had become invincible after injecting V1, sought to proclaim himself God and purge those who didn't believe in his godhood. However, Butcher and The Boys had a plan to counter him, with Frenchie's experiments potentially transforming Kimiko into a supe-neutraliser.

The battle at the White House was intense, with several characters meeting their demise. Oh Father, in charge of security, was taken down by Hughie and MM. The Deep, who had an identity crisis, was killed by the fish of the ocean after Annie pushed him into the water.

Homelander, who seemed to get the upper hand, was eventually overpowered by Ryan and Butcher. Kimiko then delivered the final blow, rendering him powerless and mortal. Butcher then killed Homelander with a crowbar, fulfilling his promise to his late wife, Becca.

However, Butcher's actions didn't end there. He stole the supe-killing virus and intended to kill all supes worldwide. But Hughie confronted him, and the two fought. In the end, Hughie shot Butcher, not realising he was stopping the virus from being released.
