The Kerala Story 2 Box Office: Film Earns Less Than ₹2 Crore on 1st Monday

The Kerala Story 2, directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, witnessed a dip in its box office collection on its first Monday, earning less than ₹2 crore in India. According to Sacnilk.com, the film collected ₹1.95 crore nett in India on day three with 3758 shows and 7.7% occupancy.
The film has earned ₹11.35 crore nett in India so far, following its opening day collection of ₹4.65 crore and ₹4.75 crore on day two. The first chapter of the film, The Kerala Story, earned ₹16.40 crore on day three of its release in 2023.
The film, produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, follows the lives of three young women who fall into deceptive marriages and face alleged forced religious conversions. The film stars Sumit Gahlawat, Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, Aishwarya Ojha, Arjan Singh Aujla, and Yuktam Kholsa, among others.
The Kerala Story 2 was released after the Kerala High Court lifted its ban, following a legal battle and strong reactions from all corners. The film's makers claim that the story is based on researched real-life incidents, while critics have called it 'propaganda.'
