The Vipul Amrutlal Shah film, The Kerala Story 2, has seen a dip in its box office collection on day 5. According to Sacnilk.com, the movie earned ₹3.5 crore nett in India, taking its total to over ₹19 crore. The film, which was released after a legal battle, has been facing controversy since its release. Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, the movie follows the lives of three young women who fall into deceptive marriages and face alleged forced religious conversions.
Speaking with PTI, producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah said that there were no plans to make a sequel, but after receiving new stories, they decided to make part 2. When asked about a third part, he said there are no concrete plans yet, but they may consider it if compelling stories come their way.
