Mumbai witnessed a night to remember as American guitarist Tom Morello brought his unique blend of rock music to the Fairmont Hotel on Friday. As part of his three-city Indian tour, Tom's maiden performance in the city was a high-energy celebration of his craft. Before taking the stage, Tom expressed his gratitude to Indian fans, stating, 'It's taken over 30 years, but I'm finally here, and I'm honored to perform for the great people of India.' Tom's setlist included classics like Soldier In The Army of Love and Let's Get The Party Started, which got the crowd moving. When he asked if they knew who Rage Against the Machine was, the audience's deafening roar was a testament to their passion for his music. Tom then treated the crowd to an instrumental medley of the band's songs. However, the true standout of the evening was Tom's 14-year-old son Roman, who stole the spotlight with a breathtaking five-minute solo guitar piece. Tom beamed with pride as he watched his son's incredible display of skills. The crowd was equally impressed, and Tom couldn't help but hug Roman after the performance. Throughout the night, Tom paid tribute to his influences, including the late Ozzy Osbourne and his former bandmate Chris Cornell. He performed a heartfelt rendition of Like A Stone in honor of Chris, leaving the crowd emotional. Tom also broke into an instrumental medley of Audioslave songs, leaving the audience wanting more. As Tom signed off, he promised his Indian fans that they won't have to wait another 30 years for his next visit. His three-city India tour, produced by BookMyShow Live, continues in Bengaluru on December 21.
