In a surprising turn of events, Priyanka Chopra has been ranked 3rd on the list of most valuable Indian celebrities, according to a recent study by Fortune India-Interbrand. This comes as a surprise, given that the actress hasn't starred in an Indian movie in 7 years.
The study, which ranked celebrities based on several parameters beyond mere box-office collections or endorsements, saw Virat Kohli top the list, followed by Shah Rukh Khan in second place. Priyanka, who last appeared in Bollywood in 2019's The Sky is Pink, is the only female actor to feature in the top 3.
Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, and Amitabh Bachchan were ranked 5th, 6th, and 7th, respectively, while Alia Bhatt came in at No. 9, and Telugu superstar Allu Arjun took the 10th spot.
Priyanka's career has been marked by numerous hits and blockbusters, including Bajirao Mastani, Mary Kom, and Barfi!, for which she received critical acclaim. She has since transitioned to Hollywood, appearing in TV shows like Quantico and films like Baywatch and The Matrix 4.
The actress is set to make her Telugu cinema debut in SS Rajamouli's Varanasi, alongside Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran, which is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 7, 2027.
