The makers of the upcoming pan-India film, Toxic, have announced the postponement of the film's release from March 19 to June 4, citing the ongoing crisis in the Middle East as the reason.
Initially, the film was set to clash with Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2, but the postponement has now led to a clash with Varun Dhawan's romantic comedy, Hai Jawani To Ishq Hona Hai.
The makers of Toxic claim that they handled the news of the clash transparently, informing Varun Dhawan's team of their intention to move the release date in advance.
A spokesperson from KVN Productions stated that the owner of KVN, Mr Venkat, personally reached out to the makers of Varun's film to avoid any unnecessary friction, and the discussion happened well before the official announcement of the new release date.
Both films are now slated to release on June 4, with Toxic starring Yash in multiple roles and Hai Jawani To Ishq Hona Hai starring Varun Dhawan alongside Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde.
