As Single Papa continues to touch hearts with its poignant portrayal of emotions, the show's composer Aman Pant reveals the magic behind its soothing soundtrack. Aman, who has previously worked with Neeraj Kabi on Trippling 3, credits his collaboration with director Shashank Udapurkar for the show's emotional depth. In an exclusive conversation with Hindustan Times, Aman Pant opens up about the creation of the show's most beloved tracks, including the heartwarming lullaby 'Ajab Yeh Ishq.' The song, which was the first to be composed for the show, was born out of Shashank's vision for a timeless lullaby that would evoke the same nostalgia as classic children's songs like 'Lalla Lalla Lori.' Aman shares, 'Shashank wanted something that would stay with audiences for years, and I think that's what we achieved with 'Ajab Yeh Ishq.' Aman's personal connection to the song is evident in its melody, which came to him instinctively. 'This was the third melody that I made, and when I woke up, this melody was continuously ringing in my heart,' he recalls. The song's lyrics, penned by Shashank, perfectly capture the essence of a father's love. The composer also talks about the show's unique ability to strike a chord with audiences of all ages. 'Good thing about the show is people are organically liking it,' Aman says. 'It's a very subtle show, and a nice break from the action and violence that's prevalent in today's content.' Aman's own children, who are usually detached from his professional work, have given him a special compliment for the show's soundtrack. 'They plugged in the show on their own on Netflix, and my son said, 'papu, it was an emotional rollercoaster, I cried 4 times,' he shares. The composer also shares his experience of working on the show's music, which was a seamless process. 'I resonated with the story, so whatever I composed, everyone loved it,' he says. 'We all were very aligned with the story, and when you score the song, you keep watching the show a lot of times. So when you make the songs, it comes out to be something that takes the show forward.' Another fun track from the album, 'Ghotala,' came together spontaneously. 'Koi challenge nahi tha sirf mazze ho rahe the,' Aman says, reminiscing about the creative process. Kunal Kemmu, who is receiving widespread praise for his performance in Single Papa, has also connected with Aman on a personal level. 'Yes, we connected actually,' Aman says. 'Kunal really liked the show's music, and he even said this to me separately.'
