Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has revealed that he turned down the critically acclaimed thriller Andhadhun, which went on to become one of the biggest success stories in recent Hindi cinema.
Varun Dhawan says he was set to star alongside Kangana Ranaut in the film, but had to decline due to prior commitments.
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Andhadhun starred Tabu, Ayushmann Khurrana, Radhika Apte and Anil Dhawan in key roles and was inspired by the French short film L'Accordeur (The Piano Tuner).
The film became a major box-office success, collecting ₹442 crore worldwide on a budget of ₹17 crore, and remains one of the most beloved thrillers in modern Hindi cinema.
Varun Dhawan is currently seen in his father David Dhawan's film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, which has been struggling at the box office.
