Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, the romantic drama starring Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, and Mrunal Thakur, has failed to cross the ₹50 crore mark at the box office in its first week. The film, directed by David Dhawan, received mixed-to-negative reviews from critics, with many criticizing its 'cringe jokes.'

According to Sacnilk, the film collected ₹2.60 crore net in India on Thursday, taking its domestic total to ₹36.85 crore. Despite showing improvement on Sunday, the film failed to hit the ₹50 crore mark in its first week.

Comparing its box office collection to Varun's previous films, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has collected less than Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, which collected ₹38.85 crore in its first week. However, it has done better than Baby John, which collected ₹32.65 crore in its first week.

The film faces competition from Peddi and Bandar, which were released at the same time.
