Varun Dhawan's upcoming romantic comedy, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, has sparked concerns over the use of AI after the release of its first look featuring AI babies. However, the film's team has clarified that the AI babies were just a gimmick to promote the film's premise.

A source close to the production revealed that the AI babies were used as a quick and visually arresting way to set up the love triangle without revealing actual footage. The source stated that there is no AI in the film and the gimmick was only used for the teaser.

The first look of the film features Varun Dhawan romancing both Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde simultaneously, with two AI babies discussing their fathers having the same name, Jass. The video ends with the babies calling it a 'double trouble love story.'

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is directed by David Dhawan and also stars Mouni Roy, Rohit Saraf, Jimmy Shergill, Chunky Panday, Maniesh Paul, Rajesh Kumar, and Kubbra Sait in key roles. The film is set to release in theatres on May 22.
