Actor Vijay was in Malaysia over the weekend for the audio launch of his highly-anticipated film, Jana Nayagan. The event, held at the Bukit Jalil Stadium, saw the actor interact with fans and deliver a powerful message. As he took the stage, fans erupted in cheers, chanting 'TVK' - the acronym for Vijay's political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. Vijay, visibly moved by the gesture, smiled and shook his head, implying that the platform wasn't suitable for such chants. However, the actor's humility and kindness didn't go unnoticed, and the crowd was left in stitches. The event also saw a surprise performance by Vijay's mother, singer Shobha Chandrasekar, who performed alongside singer Tippu. Other notable attendees included Pooja Hegde, Priyamani, music composer Anirudh Ravichander, and director Lokesh Kanagaraj. In a heartfelt speech, Atlee praised Vijay, saying, "In life, we meet three kinds of people. Some are like leaves, some are like branches, but the people who stand by you are like roots. They will never leave you." Atlee then ran towards Vijay and gave him a warm hug. Jana Nayagan, directed by H Vinoth, marks Vijay's last film before he forays into politics. The film, also starring Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Priyamani, and Prakash Raj, is set for a worldwide theatrical release on January 9, 2026, coinciding with the festival of Pongal.
