Actor Vijay Sethupathi attended the audio launch of Pandiraj's upcoming film Parimala & Co, where he made two requests to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay to boost Kollywood.
He asked CM Vijay to launch a government-owned OTT platform, citing the confusion it has caused in the business world, and to increase theatre ticket prices, which have remained stagnant for years.
The requests come after Kamal Haasan's note to CM Vijay, which included suggestions to abolish local body entertainment tax, form an anti-piracy team, and implement an 8-week OTT window.
Vishal, a fellow actor, has also criticized CM Vijay's choice of film ministry, expressing concerns about the lack of experience in the industry.
