H Vinoth's Jana Nayagan, starring Tamil Nadu chief minister Vijay, has been stuck with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for over five months. The film, which also features Mamitha Baiju, Bobby Deol, and Pooja Hegde, was supposed to be released in January but was postponed due to a delay in certification.

During a promotional interaction for Pandiraaj's Parimala & Co, Vinoth was asked about the film's release. He cryptically replied, 'That is not up to me. I don’t even have the courage to tell you the truth. Even if I had the courage, you wouldn’t have the courage to share it.'

The film's producer, Venkat K Narayana, has indicated that CBFC has yet to certify the film. Minister for Film Technology and Cinematograph Act in Tamil Nadu, Rajmohan Arumugam, has stated that the film can only be released after obtaining censor certification.

Jana Nayagan was leaked online in April, and nine arrests were made. The film's release date has been postponed multiple times, leaving fans hopeful but uncertain about its release.
