Akash Singhania, a US-based entrepreneur, shares his side of the story after being falsely accused of being a pedophile in a viral livestream by YouTuber-vlogger Vitaly.

According to Singhania, he was talking to someone on a dating app when Vitaly set up a sting operation, declaring him a 'pedophile' before he could process what was happening.

Singhania claims that the woman he was talking to was texting multiple guys at the same time, incentivized to get someone as fast as possible for the show, and that he had done nothing wrong.

He immediately called the cops, who verified his innocence, but the damage was already done, with millions of people believing the false accusations and sparking intense racism online.

Singhania faced death threats, had his business and social media profiles targeted, and was even told to be canceled.

He supports protecting the innocent and vulnerable but believes that vigilante journalism can lead to people being judged without verification or proper investigation, negatively impacting lives.

Singhania is keeping his options open and prioritizing his mental health and family's well-being, while also calling for Vitaly and other parties to be held accountable.
