Actor Yami Gautam has clarified that she 'liked' a video shading Kriti Sanon for her Zee Cine Awards win by accident. Yami stated that she gets tagged in multiple posts every day and it may have been clicked accidentally.
She added that she has never been a part of 'cheap PR tactics' and has always focused on her work. Yami also clarified that she has no PR team and has respectfully cleared her stance on entertainment award shows long ago.
The controversy started when a video emerged on Instagram shading Kriti for her win over Yami for her role in Haq. The video showed Yami stating in a previous interview that she doesn't seek validation, and the question 'Is it fair?' was raised.
Kriti won the Best Actress award for her role in Tere Ishk Mein, a romantic drama film directed by Aanand L Rai. Yami starred in Haq, a courtroom drama directed by Suparn Verma.
