National Film Award-winning author and poet Yatindra Mishra has teamed up with filmmaker Priyadarshan and music director Pritam for their upcoming film Haiwaan, starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan.
Mishra, who made his debut as a lyricist with Priyadarshan's Bhoot Bangla, is set to create another hit song for the film.
He revealed that his new song for Haiwaan is 'very different' from his previous work, but is a 'beautiful number'. The lyricist expressed his excitement to be working with Pritam and Priyadarshan once again.
Mishra's journey as a lyricist began with the song 'Ram Tandav' for Priyadarshan's documentary Sabke Ram, which was sung by Malini Awasthi on the music of Ramesh Narayan.
He has also penned the song 'Hey Sakal Vishwas Ram' for the Shri Ram Temple's second anniversary of the Pran Pratistha ceremony, which was sung by Hariharan, Sonu Nigam, Anuradha Paudwal, and Malini Awasthi.
Mishra has also published two poetry collections, 'Bina Kalinga Vijay Ke' and 'Nainan Mein Aan Baan - Music History & Analysis', in the past year.
