Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti's production house Tiger Baby Digital LLP has suffered a data theft worth ₹13 lakh at its Mumbai office.

An employee, Mehjabeen Mushtaq Shaikh, has been arrested in connection with the case.

Shaikh, who worked as an executive assistant, had initially organised and stored the hard drives containing production-related material.

The alleged theft came to light when other staff members discovered that several hard drives were missing from the storage cupboard.

During police questioning, Shahid Khan, who was given the responsibility of managing the hard drives, allegedly confessed to the crime and admitted to selling 24 drives for ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 each.

However, an internal audit revealed that a total of 119 hard drives were missing.
