Gaza's civil defence agency reported at least 13 people killed, including five in an attack on a police vehicle, as Israeli strikes persist across the Palestinian territory.

Despite a ceasefire in October, Gaza remains gripped by daily violence, with both the Israeli military and Hamas accusing each other of breaking the truce.

Eight people, including a child, were killed and several others injured when an Israeli airstrike hit a police vehicle in Khan Yunis, while three people were killed in an Israeli artillery strike near a hospital in northern Gaza.

Two people were killed in a third attack on a police patrol in Gaza City, with the interior ministry confirming that the two killed were police officers.

Gaza's hospitals confirmed the death tolls, publishing the names of 12 of the 13 victims, with the 13th victim's identity still unknown.

The Israeli military stated that they targeted armed Hamas terrorists in the northern Gaza Strip, who posed a threat to their troops.

Hamas condemned the attacks, denouncing the international community's failure to stop the ongoing crimes against their people.

The October truce has largely halted the Gaza war, but violence has persisted, with at least 792 Palestinians killed since the truce began, according to Gaza's health ministry.
