The seven-month-old baby shot dead in Brooklyn, New York City, has been identified as Kaori Patterson-Moore. NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch released photos of the two suspects, with one in custody while the search for the other continues.

The baby was on a stroller on the Moore and Humboldt streets in the East Williamsburg region of Brooklyn when shots were fired. The mother, who took shelter at a nearby bodega, noticed that the baby was bleeding and found out that she was shot in the head.

The father took her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. According to Tisch, the suspect arrived at the street corner on a moped, while one of them rode it, the other opened fire from the rear seat.

The suspects struck a car two blocks from where the shooting took place and crashed their moped, sustaining some injuries. The rear seat passenger was taken to a hospital with injuries and is now in police custody.

A 'massive manhunt' is underway for the other suspect. Mayor Mamdani reacted to the shooting, calling it a 'devastating reminder' why there should be restrictions on gun laws.
